Lexington City Schools operate on 2 hour delay today

Lexington City Schools (LCS) has announced a 2 hour delay for all students today due to the weather.

This decision comes after the school system was closed yesterday due to snow and icy conditions.

Operating on a 2 hour delay gives the temperatures a chance to rise and melt any standing ice that may be remaining on the roads. However, it is advised that all drivers, especially students, slow their speed while driving in areas where the roads remain shaded from the sun and on elevated surfaces like bridges and overpasses.

Please visit the LCS website to remain informed to all changes concerning delays and cancellations.
