Lexington Police make local arrest

On Sunday May 5, 2024, Lexington Police Department Officers arrested Brian Blalock, 54 of Lexington following a traffic stop on Cotton Grove Road.

Further investigation by officers during the stop indicated that Blalock was found to be in possession of a stolen short barrel rifle, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Blalock was arrested without incident and charged with possession of a weapon of mass destruction, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The short barrel rifle was reported stolen out of Mint Hill NC.

Blalock was held in the Davidson County Jail on a $30,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 12 in Lexington.
