I'm excited to share what's been going on this week!
On Thursday, I was honored to attend the Davidson County Sherriff's Department event to honor their Governor's Highway Safety Program and MADD efforts. Thank you to all of the Davidson County law enforcement we are so grateful to have you!
In High Point, Truist Stadium, the current home of the High Point Rockers baseball team, will be adding a men's soccer facility to be home to a new men's soccer league.
In Congress, the Respect for Marriage Act is now in the Senate for a vote. This bill would codify same-sex marriage into law if passed. I urge you to Contact your senator's and let them know what you think!
North Carolina redistricting is in the Supreme Court in Moore vs. Harper. This case has the support of 13 other states on North Carolina's side, making it a nation wide concern.
North Carolina County Commissioners have adopted a new Emergency Preparedness Initiative when it comes to natural disaster's. Thank you to all of our hard working local government around the state for preparing our communities for disaster.
The High Point University Poll has been keeping its eye on the upcoming U.S. Senate race, including our current House member, Ted Budd. If you are interested in election polling, check out the HPU Poll!
The Little Theater of Winston-Salem has announced their fall classes! Supporting local art and businesses is easy through local theaters. Check out the programs they are offering!
The North Carolina Board of Elections is calling on Davidson County citizens to hear how they feel about Sunday voting. This is a choice the people have a say in, I urge you to reserve our Sundays as a day of rest.
