Seeing God in the stars
Our God has flung billions of stars in the sky. When we look towards the heavens, during the night time we see the marvelous lights made by God. The word of God teaches us in Psalm 8:3-4, “When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him?” Seek God in the stars.
When we look into the heavens we can see God's absolute glory. When we see God in the stars we can find ourselves consumed in the wonderful works of God's hands.
Isaiah 40:26 tells us, “Lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the one leads forth these hosts by number. He calls them by name.”
Because of the greatness of his might, and the strength of his power, not one of them is missing.
As we see the stars, they stir our minds to think about the one who created the stars. We can always see God through the stars who has given each star their own name. Our God has governed the universe that none of the stars are missing.
Let us worship God through the stars.
“Great is the Lord,” He has all power and he keeps all the stars under his control. The stars shine bright with great power!
When we read the word of God, we are reminded how God spoke everything into existence,” by the word of the Lord, the heavens were made and by the breath of his mouth, all their host.
Let us remember the sun is also a star that God has made and the best star that God has made is his son Jesus Christ.
May the star we see in Jesus Christ help guide us as the star did for the Magi a long time ago.
The lyrics to “We Three Kings” state, “O star of wonder, star of might, star with royal beauty brought, Westward leading still proceeding, guide us to thy perfect light.” Jesus is a star to always follow.
As we meditate on the word of God this week, pray. Father in your light, we see light. May your word be a light to our path today to see your spirit illuminate us as we read and feel vision with our Lord Jesus Christ, the light of the world.
May we always remember as believers we are called to light up like the stars guiding people to hope, purpose, healing and joy that can be found in the brightest star ever Jesus Christ.
May God So Richly Bless!
