The Lexington Fire Department will be live on Facebook on Wednesday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. to introduce Luna. Luna is a 'Comfort K9' who will provide companionship and emotional support for firefighters who experience high levels of stress and trauma in their line of work.
Lexington Police Department’s K9s Rico, Cert, and Dax will receive bullet and stab protective vests thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vests are sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.
