Uptown Lexington comes alive with the arts on Saturday

The artistic scene is definitely growing in Lexington. It is inspiring to see the emergence of a growing artist community in the city. There are weekly events planned in Lexington which are geared to fostering creativity and to unite local creatives. 

The Hometown Art Guild is excited to present the Uptown Arts Festival on Saturday, May 11 from 10:00 a.m. until 4: 00 p.m. on Main Street in Uptown Lexington. This is the second year for the festival.

The Uptown Arts Festival will feature over 80 art vendors selling their unique creations. There will also be a variety of food trucks, bounce houses, exciting live music, fun demonstrations, games and much more for the entire family to enjoy. 

After the Uptown Arts Festival has concluded, head to Smoke & Oak at 127 West Center Street at 4:00 p.m. for an amazing local artist showcase featuring talented local artist Brandon Hogan.

Hogan will create a live painting, which will add to the evening’s unique atmosphere. Enjoy the eclectic ambiance while you watch art come to life right before your eyes. 

The art that Hogan creates will be available for purchase through a live on-site auction that same evening once it is complete.
