A Journey with Jesus (Part 3)

Our journey with Jesus has come to the the time where it’s time for the believers to CELEBRATE!!!
The Savior of the world is born!!!!

Christmas is a time of celebration of Jesus’ birth. Even though, we are unable to pinpoint the exact date of his birth it’s not important as the event itself; so we can enter wholeheartedly into the Christmas season, with praise in our hearts.

Luke 2:7 tells us “She brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room in the inn. Oh come let us adore him, Christ the Lord”.

As weak as a baby is a common expression that could not be applied to baby Jesus, in the manger. While he was as weak as any other baby, humanly speaking, he was also the center of power as far as Heaven was concerned. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, let us remember he came as the anointed one, the Messiah, in order to keep the promise of God.

The Prophet Isaiah 9:6 tells us, “For to us A child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulders, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

As the journey continues there is an unexpected announcement. Luke 2:10, “And the angel said to them fear not; For behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” That’s good news!!!!

Giving and receiving gifts is a wonderful part of Christmas, but the greatest gift is Jesus, himself.
Without the gift of our Savior, we would be dead in our sins. Salvation is no cheap gift; how it cost Jesus his life. He was born to suffer the wrath of God for the sins of every person. Although we didn’t deliver Jesus as Mary did we should be honored to carry his word throughout the world.

Thank you Jesus for giving us a great reason to celebrate Christmas. We have received the greatest gift; Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. Happy Birthday Jesus!!

Merry Christmas!

May God so richly bless!!!
