Cheers to 200 Years! Bicentennial Brews: Beverages and Events
Together the Davidson County Historical Museum, Visit Lexington, and the Thomasville Tourism Commission are inviting local breweries, wineries, cideries, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants to offer a special-edition beverage release commemorating the Davidson County Bicentennial. Qualifying special-edition beverages could include new recipes but also label and non-label releases. Inspiration behind commemorative beverages could include, but is not limited to, a place, person, object, or event in local history and can include themes that predate the founding of the county. The possibilities are endless! If desired, the museum is available to provide research assistance and inspiration behind your special-edition beverage.

There you can find beverage release schedules and locations, flavor profiles, and stories on the inspiration behind the beverages. Several establishments have already joined the campaign including Goose & The Monkey Brewhouse, Smoke & Oak, Native Vines Winery, and Old Nick Williams Distillery.
This year’s campaign also includes museum-sponsored Bicentennial Brews Events – informal and entertaining speaking events relating to alcohol history and education, all free to the public.
