Bull City Ciderworks recently announced the official grand reopening of its Lexington, NC location after a nearly year-long renovation during COVID-19. As has been the case with most conventions and festivals during the pandemic, this year’s gathering of comic enthusiasts known as LexingCon will be a virtual event. It will be broadcasted live on the group’s Facebook page on Saturday, April 10 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
A City of Lexington Parks and Recreation favorite is returning for Spring. On Saturday, April 10 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m., the department will host Go Fly A Kite Day in Uptown Lexington.
It all started with a conversation. Sedley Abercrombie is a librarian and branch manager with the Davidson County Public Library (DCPL) system. During a chat she was having at Goose and the Monkey Brewhouse (GMBH), one of the bartenders was made aware of her profession. From there, Books & Brews was born.
