Friday afternoon Lexington Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on Thomason Street.
A residential fire on E. Second St in Lexington caused structural damage. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the City of Lexington Fire Marshal’s Office.

Thomasville: Road closure due to fire on Wednesday, Jan. 4th
The Thomasville Police and Fire were both presented with a check totaling $18,000 following a golf tournament at Greensboro National Golf Club hosted by "First Responders of the Triad."
The Thomasville Fire Department has been busy collecting awards for their service, professionalism, and cooking skills! In October, Chief Martin Daily was named Fire Chief of the Year of the Piedmont Region by the Piedmont NC Firefighter's Association - This qualifies him to be considered for the state-wide Fire Chief of the Year Award. Locally, department members were recognized for their service during their annual service banquet.
