First Reformed UCC Community Garden undergoing restoration - volunteers needed

With an initial grant from the Davidson County Health Department and ongoing support from the Church consistory and the Lexington Garden Club, volunteers and paid garden workers from the Open Hands Ministry of Davidson County have added an automated irrigation system, raised metal garden beds and a pollinator garden to attract bees and butterflies to the vegetable garden.

The 2022 Davidson County Farm Tour is a community and education outreach event hosted by Davidson County Local Food Network (DCLFN). DCLFN is the county's food council which is a network composed of farmers, food producers, health advocates who work towards building an equitable and resilient food system for the health and economic welfare of the community.

From New York Fashion to Lexington Suave: Hargrave's style is all his own

The culinary artist behind the menu for the Inaugural Black Butterfly event is inspired by many traditional favorite dishes. The menu is an homage to the heritage of certain foods like okra, black-eyed peas and crispy fried chicken.
