Ready Set Sort hobby and collectibles store opens Saturday
New store offers video game trading cards and collectibles. Ready Set Sort will have a ribbon-cutting and grand opening starting at noon Saturday in the store at 110 Cotton Grove Road, Suite M, in the Van Mar Plaza shopping center. There will be food and drinks, raffles and auctions, T-shirts and gift bags as well as well as a game event for up to 32 players.

Goose and Monkey Brewhouse brings home medals from NC Brewers Cup Competition
Goose and Monkey Brewhouse won the Silver Medal in the North Carolina Brewers Cup Competition American Amber Lager Category for Seductive Mullet. This is the first state medal for owners Brent and Ashlee Moore. The GMBH team previously won Carolina's Championship of Beer, the World Beer Cup and the Great American Beer Festival.

As part of a new, streamlined leadership model being implemented across some of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s community hospitals, Chad Brown, president of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Wilkes Medical Center, will assume a new role as president of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist’s South and West areas, effective Jan. 1, 2024. Bill James will step down as president of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.
