For long-time member Bruce Cross and the brethren of American Legion Post 255, the historic building on Arthur Miller Drive houses noteworthy memories of history, culture and service. In name and deed, Lexington’s first African-American post honors the legacy of soldiers who returned from war, sought equal treatment and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for love of God and Country.
The lunch program started February 20, 2021 and continues to serve the community each Saturday beginning at 12:30 until 1:30 pm
Organizers invite the public to come out to Downtown Thomasville on Monday, May 30th at 9:00am the our annual Memorial Day Parade. The parade will start at The Big Chair and go down Salem Street towards Memorial Park Dr. This event is hosted by the NC Memorial Day Parade Committee. The Grand Marshal for this year is Lt. Governor Mark Robinson.
On Saturday, June 18th, Anything for Our Youth, in collaboration with City of Lexington Utilities, Davidson Local will host the event. Admission is free to the public. Food and craft vendors will have select items for sale.

Birthed out of a desire to impact the city on a larger scale, four churches formed a partnership that has been life changing. In 2017, Dave Fulton led the effort for First Reformed to find ways to reach out more to the community. He reached out to St. Stephen United Methodist Church, Shady Side Presbyterian Church and Second Reformed United Church of Christ. We were looking for ministries that we as a group could do that were maybe bigger than any one church could do alone.
Whereas, racism is also present in more subtle and passive forms in social and institutional settings where systems of discrimination prevent the hiring and/or upward mobility of gifted and qualified individuals.

Regardless of what color you prefer - Dem Blue, Republican Red or Libertarian Green - we love that this primary campaign season showed your true hues. After spending two whole days of pounding the pavement for Davidson Local, I saw hugs and high fives that crossed divides and partisan boundaries. We need more of that!
With Snider being gone for a few days, police were sent out to find him since after some time he was posted as a missing person. Without any luck, Harley finally suggested that they look back at the crime scene, and after days of investigation, Snider was arrested for not only fraud, but for the kidnapping as well. “Turns out, Snider actually attended this wedding, and due to his suspicious activity we thought it would be best to search him.” An investigator explained to Viola and Harley. “The missing person was found in his house, and through questioning of both the victim and Snider, we’ve concluded that the culprit was him all along.”

An Arts Academy at Grace piano student since 2016, she began lessons when she was taking care of her mother, who had Alzheimer’s. Arts Academy at Grace (AAG) is located at Grace Episcopal Church in Lexington, and welcomes people of all ages from throughout the community.

Zachary and his wife, Monica, are the owners/operators of Rierson Farms NC, which was officially registered in March of 2021, however, the passion for growing was cultivated way back.
The Lexington Farmers Market at the Depot will kick off the 2022 market season with Opening Day on Saturday, May 7 from 8 am to Noon. The farmers market will be open every Saturday morning through October 8, 2022.

This is a walk-through, multi-sensory worship experience for all ages. After entering the sanctuary, you will go to different interactive prayer stations that depict scenes from the last week of Jesus’ life.

DCLFN is the county's food council which is a network composed of farmers, food producers, health advocates who work towards building an equitable and resilient food system for the health and economic welfare of the community.
