LPD K9s will receive bullet and stab protective vests

Lexington Police Department’s K9s Rico, Cert, and Dax will receive bullet and stab protective vests thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vests are sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”. Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.

Give Work A Chance Job Fair Employer Profile: Greensboro Fire Department

Over the next several weeks, we will be publishing profiles on the employers who will be attending the job fair on August 24 from 4-7 p.m. at 599 Railroad St. at Bull City Ciderworks in Lexington. Captain Kelly Giles, a 1988 Central Davidson High School graduate, wants to make sure Davidson County candidates are invited to apply for current and future options in neighboring Greensboro.
